Ale2Ale Craft Beer & Real Ale Home
Welcome to Ale2Ale

We love real ale and craft beer so much we decided to create Ale2Ale as a pet project in our trek around America’s craft breweries.
Meet Karl the Landlord of Ale2Ale’s virtual pub, the Britannia Inn – an Englishman cast adrift in what he mistakenly thought was a real ale wasteland. Meet Patsy, your Landlady from Montana via New York who took it upon herself to take pity on this poor Englishman and “edjamacate” him in the ways of American craft beers – she also married him the poor woman!

Together, we’re travelling around America and sampling the very best craft beers, sneaking peaks inside breweries and meeting good people up and down the country. This is a labor of love for us – something we do as a couple, and as such it is shaped by our prejudices and tastes, but that is where you come in.
The Britannia Inn is a free house – no brewer or beer dominates here – just bring your thoughts and selections to the table so we can all share. If you are interested in contributing reviews and articles, whether as a drinker or brewer, we’re open to that too – just email us with your ideas and we’ll get you sorted.
We’ve created fact pages to help people understand the types of ale, lager and specialty beers available, and we’re also going to be adding our reviews and thoughts on craft beers new and old. Once a week we’ll be reviewing a beer and once a month we’re going to be reviewing a brewery. If you have any suggestions as to what you want to see or hear, or about this website, just let us know:
So come on in, take a load off, throw a toy for the Britannia’s resident pub dog, Filmore and don’t forget to check out our blog for the latest craft bear news.
